About HVAAC

Who Are We?

The Hardin Valley Academy Athletic Council is a voluntary organization of individuals, organized to support, promote, and encourage the student athletes and athletic programs of Hardin Valley Academy. This organization has a well-defined structure with leadership and support positions that are staffed by volunteers (typically parents of student athletes) that work diligently to make this organization a success. This organization consists of the Executive Board and the Parent Athletic Committee (PAC). Because there are over 800 students involved in athletics, the Executive Board (EB) wants to encourage ALL parents to become involved in their student’s team, particularly helping out on the Parent Athletic Committee (PAC). Each sport has at least one PAC Representative that serves on the HVAAC (the Council), representing their sport and all its athletes, parents and coaches. HVAAC is a tax-exempt organization under IRS Code section 501(c)3 and is a tax-exempt entity under its articles of incorporation in the state of Tennessee.

What Do We Do?

We provide financial, promotional, and organizational support to student athletes, coaches, and athletic programs of Hardin Valley Academy. We also provide financial support for goods and services needed by the athletic programs such as maintenance of playing fields, new equipment, and facility upgrades. We acquire this money through a multitude of fund raising activities including selling advertising through seasonal media guides, banners, discount card sales, and others. We also solicit donations of gifts in-kind and services through businesses and individuals. Funds are also raised through our annual membership, so please join our organization!
