Keith Galloway is the new boys’ basketball coach at Hardin Valley Academy. The last three years he served as the head freshman/assistant varsity boys’ basketball coach at Cleveland High School in Cleveland, TN. Coach Galloway had a record of 42-7 over the last three seasons as head freshman coach, which includes winning the freshman district tournament championship the last two years. While at Cleveland, he also was an assistant football coach. He has taught 9th grade Algebra 1 and Foundations 2 all three years at Cleveland.
Before going to Cleveland, Coach Galloway was an assistant basketball and football coach for one year at his alma mater Lookout Valley High School in Chattanooga, TN. He was also the head middle school baseball coach for Lookout Valley, where he taught 7th grade math.
In high school, Coach Galloway was all-city and all-state in football, basketball, and baseball at Lookout Valley High School. He was also Senior Class Valedictorian. Over the course of his college career, Coach Galloway played baseball at Cleveland State Community College, football and basketball at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and basketball and baseball at Tennessee Temple University. While at Tennessee Temple, he was a part of the 2003 NCCAA national championship basketball team.
Coach Galloway received his B. S. degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in Secondary Education (Math). He was raised in Chattanooga by his parents, Joe and Cheryl Galloway. Joe has been teaching and coaching for nearly 30 years at Lookout Valley. His sisters, Kristen and Katie, are also head coaches in basketball. His wife, Jennifer, is the new head girls’ basketball coach at Hardin Valley Academy. They have been married for two years.
